Cardinal Kung Academy accepts applications for admission on a rolling basis, provided space is available. The Academy is currently accepting applications for sixth through twelfth grades for the 2024-2025 school year.

Note: Following numerous requests for a sixth grade of many years, CKA is now accepting applications for sixth grade in the 2024-25 academic year. The addition of a sixth grade will depend upon receiving a sufficient number of suitable applications.

Where do CKA students come from?

Cardinal Kung Academy students come from across Fairfield County, Westchester County, Manhattan, and New Jersey. We even welcomed students and auditors from Europe and South America.

With families travelling from such a broad geographic region, many families are able to carpool with families in neighboring towns.

Admission Process:

  3. Take entrance exam

  4. (upon acceptance) Submit registration packet

Shadow Day

Application

The following items should be completed online through our School Admin portal.

  1. Application form

  2. Parent copies of report cards from previous schools or homeschooling (Official copies will be requested after enrollment.)

  3. Copies of standardized tests taken during 6th through 8th grades (Official copies will be requested after enrollment.)

  4. Any other diagnostic testing that has been completed and that may assist the school in the application process

  5. Two teacher or administrator recommendations (one in math/science and one in the humanities).

Entrance Exams

The next high school placement exam will be administered on Saturday, May 4th.

Middle school math placement exams are taken individually and can be scheduled with the front office on any school day. Please allow 60-90 minutes for the exam.

Registration

Once a student has been accepted, parents will receive an acceptance letter. To register, the following items should be completed and mailed to the school:

  • Registration Form

  • $200 non-refundable registration fee

  • Authorization to Release Student Records

  • Birth Certificate

  • Baptismal Certificate

  • Tuition/Enrollment Contract

Part-time option

Many families in Fairfield and Westchester Counties would like their students to have access to a Catholic classical high school but are prevented from attending five days a week by physical distance.

In addition, while some families have discerned that homeschooling is the best option for their family, they need assistance for certain high school subject areas.

In order to assist these families, Cardinal Kung Academy offers a part-time option that allows a student to take classes à la carte, space permitting.

Part-time students will not receive a diploma, but will receive grades and a transcript for courses completed.

To ensure that part-time students are as much a part of the school community as the full-time students, all students must abide by the same behavior rules, uniform guidelines, etc.
